The tenth edition of SIF2024 was held on 11 and 12 December in Montecatini Terme: during these two days many experts in the sector participated and gave their contribution and Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile also conducted two workshops inspired by the results of two of its Erasmus+ projects: 2Good2Go, for which some representatives discussed how to direct SMEs towards a circular economy model and Escape2EU for which a simulation of one of the main results of the project was organised, that is, an educational escape room aimed at raising awareness among participants on the topic of immigration.
The workshop was led by Jonathan Migliori, Niccolò Fratini and Ottavia Napoli, young university students who have participated in some mobilities of other projects, now volunteers of Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile and who are giving their contribution in the creation of the game. In fact, they have tested the game for the next mobility that will be held in Cyprus, with the partner organization Centre of active citizens for sustainable development of Nicosia.
The participants were experts and scholars who, with their observations and advice, gave a great contribution to the improvement of some aspects of the game and to the implementation of original and creative parts.
Participants:
Francesca Bagni, founder of the Cooperativa Sociale ContestoInfanzia, of which she is vice president; the cooperative is committed to supporting childhood and supporting families, with the aim of promoting healthy and harmonious growth of children;
Sergio Brunetti of AICA (Associazione Italiana per l’Informatica ed il Calcolo Automatico), who carries out Inspector activities for the organization for the ICDL project (formerly European Computer Driving Licence), and he is the contact for Tuscany, Umbria and the province of La Spezia, and Secretary of the AICA Tuscany Section, in addition to being a member of the National Council;
Dr. Grazia Chiarini of the Libera Università Autobiografia Anghiari, territorial contact, expert in autobiographical methodologies and in self-analytic autobiography consultancy;
Elhadji Amadou DIA and Abdou Lettif Sall of the board of directors of COSSAN, association of Senegalese of Santa Croce sull’Arno;
Andrea Falleri, of FondEasy, Project Manager expert in the design of funded projects and business consultant for investment projects;
Francesca Lurci and Patrizia Menichelli of the Arcadia Ars In association of Florence: Ars In is a collective of theater artists and other operators, interested in sensorial languages and poetics and in deepening that line of contamination between contemporary art and sensorial theater;
Maria Pia Urbani of SIMEN, Società Italiana di Medicina Narrativa
Samuele Zerbini, entrepreneur in the tourism sector who runs a travel agency and employment agency dedicated to schools, and a start-up in the entertainment sector.
The heart of the workshop was how to create empathy, even with a game, towards the thousands of migrants who leave their country every day in search of a better future, but find themselves facing linguistic, integration, work and social difficulties in the countries that welcome them: each of those present, considering their own experience and with their own sensitivity, helped us to investigate the topic from different perspectives and points of view.
With a view to promoting the tangible results of the project, also at Villa Skillman, we have come to the integration of some proposals that allow those who want to replicate the game in different contexts and with different targets.
We thank all the participants for their contribution.
